Obituary of Walter Robert Moritz

Walter R. "Midge" Moritz, age 101, passed away at his home in manorville on Monday, September 23, 2019. He was born on June 3, 1918, in New York, NY to Walter Scott Moritz and Helen Moritz (nee: Scott). Midge was a proud veteran of the U.S. Air Force during WWII, served for over 13 years and obtained the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. Midge was married 72 years to his loving wife Winifred Claire Moritz (nee:Hesson), who survives him. After his service he worked at Republic Airport in Farmingdale. He is survived by his beloved children Bob, Claire, Richard, Lynn and David. Cherished grandfather of 8, great grandfather of 11 and great great grandfather of 1.In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Wounded Warrior Project, donations may be made on their website.
