Obituary of Margaret M. "Peggy" Meak

MEAK, Margaret M. (Peggy) passed away peacefully  at home on Tuesday, October 31, 2017. Born in Brooklyn, NY on December 30, 1926, she was the beloved wife of Jack for 67 years. Dedicated to her family, Peggy loved spending time with her loved ones and building a home where all would feel welcome. She was the loving mother of John (Margie), Peggy, Susan (Chris) and Vanessa; beloved grandmother of Ashley, Kelly, Courtney, Ryan, Colin and Rachel; and dear great grandmother to Lilly, Jack, Derek, Cameron, Declan, Logan, Riley, Nora and Sydney.

A talented artist, Peggy graduated from Washington Irving High School with a specialty in fashion illustration. These creative skills shined in her scrapbooking design, crocheting skills and other crafts she enjoyed. She will be remembered as a kind, caring woman who would do anything for her family.  With a stubborn streak and a knack for organization, Peggy could do anything she set her mind to. 

Services will be held at Marinello Funeral Home, 49 Middle Country Road, Corm. Visitation will be Friday, November 3, 2017 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. A service will be held at 12:30 pm with burial to follow at Calverton National Cemetery.  For information, please call
